The Mar del Plata Yacht Club

The Club Náutico Mar del Plata is an institution founded in 1925 and located in the Port of Mar del Plata. It is a work arising from the inspiration and drive of Don Teodoro Bronzini, who dreamed of a sports club facing the sea with his friends Rufino Inda and Eduardo Peralta Ramos.

With almost 3,000 members, the Náutico, in addition to a sailing and rowing club, is a sports center, with a variety of services and the possibility of practicing different sports disciplines or activities. Among them are its 12 tennis courts, the swimming complex, where in addition to the heated pool - there are two comfortable gyms: one with equipment and another for aerobics, yoga, karate, etc., sauna, Turkish bath. It also has an indoor sports center and an open one, a restaurant for more than 300 diners, paddle tennis courts, squash courts, etc, etc.

Great sports figures came out of this Club: Guillermo Vilas, for example, from Mar del Plata, who grew up and developed alongside his coach Felipe Locicero. Martín Jenkins, two-time Optimist world champion, is another of the many athletes that emerged from the institution and who excelled in areas as varied as sailing, tennis, rowing, swimming, hockey, etc.

Argentine Yacht Club

The Club has 3,300 members, 38 owned boats including boats for the organization and control of regattas, sailboats for regatta, school and cruise, inflatable boats, as well as a large number of International Optimist and Cadet Class sailboats. Its headquarters are:

North Dock in the Port of Buenos Aires in the Federal Capital, which has a Social Building, Junior Yachting, anchorage, slipway and central administration.

RACING AREAS IN MAR DEL PLATA

Many regatta courses can be anchored in front of the city of Mar del Plata, some of them allow the competitions to be seen from the coast. Two options are shown as an indication.
